Este libro propone una nueva mirada sobre la Reforma Universitaria de 1918 y sobre la relación entre la enseñanza superior y el resto de la sociedad. A partir de una sólida investigación bibliográfica, periodística y testimonial, muestra que la Reforma cordobesa no fue solo una batalla cultural sino que formó parte de una gran batalla social. Los estudiantes y la clase obrera enfrentaron en grandes movilizaciones conjuntas a la oligarquía de la provincia y demostraron que la reforma universitaria es parte inseparable de la reforma social.
Sobre los autores
Eduardo Díaz de Guijarro es licenciado en Ciencias Físicas (UBA, 1969) y magister en Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (UNQ, 2004). Fue docente en las universidades de Buenos Aires y Córdoba. Es Coordinador del Programa de Historia de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales de la UBA. Entre otros libros, compiló La construcción de lo posible (Libros del Zorzal, 2003), es autor de Espíritu crítico y formación científica (Eudeba, 2010), y coautor de Historia de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (Eudeba, 2015). Dictó cursos y publicó numerosos artículos y presentaciones a congresos sobre historia de las universidades.
Martha Linares es licenciada en Trabajo Social (UBA, 2013), maestranda en Política y Administración de la Educación (UNTREF). Fue presidenta del Centro de Estudiantes de Ciencias Sociales (UBA, 2011 y 2012) y presidenta de la Federación Universitaria de Buenos Aires, FUBA (2013). Es parte de la Dirección de Políticas Feministas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata.
